ROSTER
Artist: KARLEX (France)
Genre: Afro Groove, Roots Reggae, World
Brief: Karlex soulfully fusses the vibes of his native Haiti with funky guitar sounds & heavy bass, in a unique blend called Afro Groove. Artist: KOBO TOWN (Canada)
Genre: World, Calypso, Roots Reggae
Brief: Kobo Town's music draws its inspiration from traditional calypso, roots reggae & dub poetry. The Toronto-based group strives to recover the social conscience, satirical storytelling & strong acoustic/organic rhythms that characterized Trinidadian music in the past.

Artist: KOKO DOZO (USA)
Genre: Urban Globalectronica, TekSoul
Brief: Three illegal noise aliens on the lam from the corporate noise plantation, joined forces to re-splice the DNA of the Cosmic Hum. To accomplish this, they forge molecules from every genre of Earth tones into Urban Globalectronica to feed the ears, grope the bodies and jack the brain cells.

Artist: MASHED BUDDHA (USA)
Genre: Electronic, Drum 'n' Bass
Brief: Whereas debut album "Subdue Your Mind" was an experiment in electronica composition, 'Four Keys to Zen' and upcoming full length album "Zen Conspiracy" are a collection of layered funk, drum n bass and downtempo grooves that allow for jamming keyboard solos.

Company: MUSICWORLD3D
Type: Virtual Reality Community
Brief: MusicWorld3D is a new Web 2.0-style service that caters to the needs of independent musicians, fans, and the industries that support them. Likened to Avatars with Guitars, MusicWorld3D includes a free interactive virtual 3D chat environment with live and recorded music and video streaming.

Artist: PAUL NASH (USA)
Genre: Contemporary Jazz, Jazz Guitar
Brief: Manhattan New Music Project lives up to the legacy of Paul Nash in "Jazz Cycles" & "Avant Noir." It can best be described as modern jazz with a touch of Herbie Hancock's Maiden Voyage, Al DiMeola guitar lines, horns inspired by Blood Sweat & Tears and the guts of a good, tight jazz ensemble.

Artist: POLARITY/1 (USA)
Genre: Electronic, Acid Jazz, Experimental
Brief: Polarity/1 is about groove, texture & evidence of human interference. An unpredictable genre hybrid of electronica and songs. Grooves are based on homemade loops, cut & paste percussive noise, and live playing. Stories, delerium & political statements make beat science for curved dancefloor.

Artist: STRATOSPHEERIUS
Genre: Progressive Rock, Jamband
Brief: Lead by electric violinist/vocalist Joe Deninzon, Stratospheerius has showcased their "psychojazz trip funk" at colleges, festivals, and clubs throughout the US. Their live performances are filled with funky dance grooves, rip-roaring guitar/violin jams, and hooks that mix jazz, funk, and rock.
