Eric de Fontenay has spent his career steeped in what has been called the "digital revolution." As a telecom consultant, he worked on some of the most pressing regulatory & policy issues confronting major stakeholders from Europe to Australia/NZ. Making an early bet on the music sector, he built in 1997 what has become some of the leading voices in the growing debates shaping the entertainment industry through its trade e-publications MusicDish and Mi2N. He later expanded MusicDish LLC into brand development and artist development, while diving into personal management with World Calypso band Kobo Town. Eric is a regular speaker at conferences worldwide ranging from MIDEM to the Harvard Law School as well as in print with his last paper "Peer-to-Peer Networking and Policy" published by Kluwer Academic Publishers.
Michele Wilson-Morris, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, is the Managing Director of MusicDish, LLC. Michele manages the daily operations of MusicDish and its staff and interns to ensure that client goals are met. She is also the Program Director for Magic City Chess U, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide an opportunity to learn chess to inner city students, and the Treasurer of the Alabama Chess Federation. Michele is an accomplished pianist (having played classical music for most of her life) and was strongly influenced by such artists as Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Barbara Streisand, and Barry Manilow. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1991 with a B.S. in Business Administration, and has extensive experience in project management, oral and written communications, and employee management.
Sounni de Fontenay is an Associate for MusicDish LLC. Through MusicDish Network, Sounni works with a roster of up-and-coming artists & bands to help manage & promote their careers in the online music sphere. Over the last decade, Mr. de Fontenay has focused many of his efforts towards developing innovative business models for the new digital marketplace in media publishing and content syndication. He founded leading online music publications MusicDish e-Journal and Mi2N. Mr. de Fontenay is also the general manager for Gonzalez y Gonzalez, New York City's premier Latin music venue.
George Tullos grew up in a large family of musicians and visual artists. He has had a lifelong love of music, and a great appreciation for all things creative including graphic arts, photography, theatre, and calligraphy. Early in life, George became intrigued with computers and their tremendous graphics capabilities. The melding of these interests fueled his passion for a career in Graphic Design.
Nicholas Guida is a writer and musician from Salerno, Italy. While growing up in Italy, Nicholas developed a passion for music, particularly the guitar. When he was 8 years old, his parents bought him his first guitar, and when he was 14, he began to branch out by learning different styles. While enrolled at college in both Rome and Florence, he played the guitar in several different groups, and gigged all across central Italy. In 2004, he graduated with a major in History, and has since begun what is his current passion; discussing music with others.
Music is the reason Jess Wilson gets up in the morning. Born on Long Island, Jess was raised by her Beatlemaniac of a father and three generations of pianists on her motherŐs side. She has been playing the piano since she was six, has had extensive training in music theory and composition, and is currently teaching herself to play the guitar. Jess also continued with music as a minor within her undergraduate studies. She is a recent graduate from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a BachelorŐs Degree in Psychology and is happily redirecting her focus back to music where her true passion can flourish.
Jon Peritz has been playing music all his life. He recently graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in jazz studies. He currently plays trumpet in the East Coast Caravan, a DC area funk band. In the past Jon has interned with the London-based record label Lo-Max Records and the world-renowned Legacy Recording Studios in New York. Jon has a passion for music and technology and wants to apply his creativity and experience to the music business.
The musical journey began with Vijay Fernandes taking part in a singing competition in primary school. Surprised at winning the competition, his interest in music has taken him from being an avid listener and a guitarist/singer to taking a keen interest in composing and gigging. Vijay was born in Mangalore, India and started taking guitar & singing lessons at the age of 11. Although he laid low for a brief period of time, he picked up the guitar again in the United States while attending the Graduate School in Chemical Engineering at The University of Akron, Ohio. Since then he has played in Rock & Soul bands in Indianapolis, Indiana to date. In the Music industry, Vijay intends on blending his passion for creativity with experience in the business and promotion side of things.
